Happy New Year Print E-mail

Dear Parents,

I hope you are having a wonderful time with you family.  As the year comes to an end, we look forward to a new year filled with good health, happiness, and only the best for every family and staff member at our school.

Just a few things to think about when we see each other again....As we continue to strive to be an environmentally responsible school, we will be accepting you Christmas trees to recycle.  We plan to cut up the trunks into cross sections to make nature friendly blocks for out classrooms both inside and out.  We are also looking for volunteers to help cut up the trees.  If you are interested in helping or know someone who is, please let me know.

Also, when you return, you will find order forms for our Little Ceasar's fund raiser.  This is a great way to cook with your child and pizzas make great super bowl treats.  Participation is optional.  Each pizza kit you sell, will get you a ticket in the end of the year grand drawing.  Prizes include free tuition, movie passes, gift cards, and more.  Tickets for the grand drawing can also be obtained by filling box top sheets.  See someone at the front desk if you need blank box top sheets or to learn more about the box top program.

Please mark your calendars for a fabulous family activity....join us as we celebrate Madison Schaffer's third birthday carnival.  All monies raised on January 14th from 11 am to 4 pm in our parking lot will be donated to the Madison Schafer Cancer Fund to assist Madison in her recovery.

Vendor spaces are available for the event, call the school or email for more information.  Promote your business or sell goods at the event.  You can also assist by signing up to donate cans of soda, chips, buns, or hot dogs to be sold at the event.  We will be accepting those donations at the school right up to the day of the event.

If you would like to help with the planning, know a business thatwould like to participate, or know of high school kids who might want to volunteer and receive community service hours, there will two meetings held prior to the event.  Meetings will be held Thursday, January 5th at 7:15 pm and January 12 th at 6:30 pm.

Perhaps the biggest way you can help make this event a success, is to attend and invite your friends on facebook to attend and pass it on.  We will be posting a link next week that you can share.

In closing, I look forward to seeing all our students and their families back at school on Tuesday January 3, 2012!
