Dear Parents,
The topic for this week was a continuation of Valentine’s Day and we also introduced Presidents' Day. The students traded Valentine’s Day cards with their classmates and had an enjoyable time. The students also learned who our President is, where he lives and who his family is. The children enjoyed their fitness class with Ms.Crissy and music with Mrs. Michelle.The student of the week for next week is Joshua. Also next week the students will be having Career day Feb 24, 2012. Please remember the school will be closed on Monday for Presidents' day. Have a wonderful and safe weekend.

Dear Parents,
The topic for this week was Valentine’s Day. The students learned the value and importance of loving your friends and family. The letter V was also introduced along with vocabulary words starting with that letter. Some activities the students participated in were painting the letter V, coloring and decorating a Valentine’s Day Mouse, and decorating and coloring a paper bag to collect Valentine's cards. In the Science Lab the children worked with primary colors and through mixing them together, created new colors. The had fun as the always do with Ms. Crissy in the Fitness class. The student of the week for next week is Joshua Cala. Valentine’s Day is next Tuesday, please remember to send in cards with your child's name already written out with the names of their classmates. Dear Parents,
The topic for this week was learning about Groundhog Day. The students learned about the Groundhog and its importance. The letter G was also introduced along with vocabulary starting with the letter G. Some art activities the students participated in were to color and trace the letter G, painted and decorated a groundhog face and drew a groundhog and its shadow in their Journals. The student of the week for next week is Brian Bech. Please remember to take home your child’s work in assigned mailbox. Have a great weekend!

JANUARY 27, 2012 - RAINBOW DOOR

Dear Parents,
The topic for this week was Transportation. The students learned about different types of transportation such as land, air and sea. The letter T was also introduced and words pertaining to the letter T. Some art activities the students participated in were to color and decorate the letter T, paste and make a train, color and glue a hot air balloon, and color and decorate an airplane. The students also participated in Fitness class with Ms. Crissy and the computer lab. In the Science Lab this week, using a hand lens, the children viewed a cross section of the "tree blocks" and enjoyed free exploration. The Student of the week for next week is Cailyn Maurer.

Dear Parents,
The Topic for this week was "All About Winter". The students learned about the different types of clothes worn during winter, snow, and what kinds of animals live In the snow. They also learned about words starting with the letter “W”. Some art activities included drawing and decorating the letter W, gluing and pasting a snowman and free choice art. The students participated in Fitness Class with Ms Crissy and enjoyed Music class with Mrs. Michelle. In the Science Lab this week, the children enjoyed free explorations in various stations of their choice. On Friday the students decorated sugar cookies to look like snowman. They were delicious!
