Coming soon to Kids for Kids Academy…

We are excited to have the opportunity to share with you and your child the Florida International University’s family safety program.

This is a personal safety curriculum that teaches children ways to protect themselves and be assertive to help reduce their vulnerability to harm and abuse, while also educating their parents. Parents learn safety rules to help keep children free from dangerous situations. Through education the program seeks to decrease harm to children by:

1.     Teaching children rules that will keep them safe.

2.      Teaching children to assert themselves.

3.      Teaching children how to identify the difference between okay, not okay and unwanted touches.

4.      Teaching children to identify trusted helpers to assist them when faced with dangerous situations.

5.      Teaching children and parents to communicate openly about dangers, violence and child abuse.
